Lately I've been listening to a lot from a band called Scar Semmetry and others in that area of music . And always give the old stand by's a lot play Killswitch Engage , As I Lay Dying , Pantera , Down and a newer band named August Burns Red .

I am surprised that you didn't have "symphony of destruction" on there...nice list! I have been listening to a lot of theory of a deadman stuff lately...it's good stuff...check out the song santa monica...or what about the group Trapt..they've got some great stuff too

Yeah I don't think they are as good either, although I like a couple songs on death magnetic. I'm really more into hard rock than metal, although there is some overlap there. I think Metallica's problems came when they started trying to be more like alice n chains, a great band, but its a different style.

They still havent gone as downhill as Axl Rose. Just heard Chinese Democracy on the radio and it could be a Seether B-side. Bleh.

I think the black album was their last hoora so to say . any time you here a older artist say they are making an album that sounds like they used to you know it will be terrible . One of the only singers I have been able to listen to from my childhood lately has been Chris Cornell , with Audioslave not the solo stuff .

WTL, I heard some of GnR's new stuff on Stern today. I didn't think it was that bad. These days, you should just be happy when an "artist" actually plays an instrument(s).
