Default silent entry

Just wondering what tips you all have for quieting the splash on a worm if im trying to cast a decent distance (i dont know if there is anything i can do, im a big newb) thanks for the help

What type of gear are you using, spinning or baitcasting? For baitcasting, I'll underhand cast and thumb the spool just a little as the bait goes down and enters the water. For spinning, can't help you there.

I like to think the bigger the splash the more or bigger the fish it gets the attention of but what do i know lol.

i have heard multiple times, that the splash has no effect on the fish. Sometimes they even like it. I had a cast one time where i threw the worm and just as it was about to hit the water, a fish jumped out and ate it up.
