ThunderStruck Jigs Flipping Jig

CMorg I think you will be happy to hear this news. We are getting ready to start working with prostaff member Michael Teate to design a flipping jig. Michael is from Winter Haven Florida and is friends and neighbors with Elite Series pro Chris Lane. Michael is a stud when it comes to flipping and pitching and he has agreed to do a signature series flipping jig for us. There is more info on Michael on our site but just know that this jig is gonna be 100% up to his standards before it hits the website. I have no idea what the timeline will be on this jig but when it comes out it will for sure be worth the wait.

Do you have some sizes in mind? I use a lot of 3/16 and 1/4 oz. sizes here on the rivers.

kory,for some reason i can only watch about 10 seconds of each video on your site.also cant wait for the flippin jigs,put me down for a couple dozen when they are ready.

not sure what sizes yet but i am guessing maybe something like 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. but like i said it is whatever michael comes up with.

yeah the videos aren't working and we have called everybody from yahoo to you tube and they are all idiots and not any help. we are still working on it though.

woooohoooo !!!! Finally. I have been waiting for quite awhile. Cant wait to see/fish em... I think you will sell alot of these. Alot of people pitch and flip. Probably more than use football heads.

the football head was pretty easy to get right as far as designing it is concerned. i had a pretty good idea of what i wanted and the modifications i made didn't take all that long because i was lucky enough to get it right pretty quick. the roughneck finesse jig was a little more time consuming but still not bad because again, i knew pretty much what modifications i wanted to make in advance.

but the flipping head may take a little more time because michael and i agree that this jig needs to have a lot of modifications made so that it will perform well in grass as well as brush. i will be sending him the blanks within the next week or so and he will then take them to the water and put them through a lot of test. then we will begin working on them with a file to get the head shape exactly right for grass, then he will go from there and start flipping it in brush and make whatever modifications he needs to get it to come through brush the best. after that we will do some talking and playing around with different bait keepers for the trailers and experiment with some different hook models. i am excited to see the finished product as well.

Wow, and all this time I figured that you just put a hook through a rock and wrapped a rubberband around some strings.....LMAO

I think one of the things that makes your baits as durable as they have shown to be is the R&D you are putting into the design. I am glad to see that you are working towards a finished product rather than just a beta version that would catch some fish, but might not be what you or we want.

Awesome Kory, will you be considering tungsten?

I don't know if tungsten is possible because it has a much higher melting point than lead. It may be too hot to do on a non-industrial level.
