The news broke this AM that Osama Bin Obama has killed the missile defense system that was to be based in Poland and some other countries as a deterrent to a missile attack on Europe by Iran or (Can you say "Russia"?)
He caved to Russia's threats, just as he'll cave to demands made by China, Hugo Chavez (and Freddy Chavez, Eusebio Chavez, Joe Chavez and his wife, the lovely Yolanda Chavez-Chavez, and every other effing Chavez in the Libro de Telefono,) the ousted Dictator-wannabe that the Hondurans chased out of their country, and will most certainly surrender to the Grand Duchy of Fenwick should they land their army of one on our shores.
For the Love of God, America...Wake the eff up!
O.b.O will institute a "layered defense" not based in any place Russia still hopes to re-enslave.

I don't want to get into an extended discussion on missile defense shields, because it is a very technically heavy subject when it comes to questions of the viability of defense -

But it is possible and should be considered that the polish missile defense has been a long standing chess piece used in negotiations on other matters, perhaps out of our view.

Anything that happens in regards to foreign diplomacy of this sort should probably be viewed more cautiously by the general public.

"Perhaps"? Anything is possible but his pattern of kissing our enemies a55es (Bowing to the King of Saudi, who, BTW, funds the madrassas IN THE USA that are breeding pits for young terrorists. Then there's backing the return of the ousted prez of Honduras who's a pal of Hugo Chavez.) makes me doubtful at best.
I'm really looking forward to his sit-down with Achmedenijahd(sp?) of Iran. Will the leftist media include the footage of Osama Bin Obama giving the dude a free shoe shine?

We have things we want from the Russians and they have things they want for us.

Deals get cut all the time, and you normally dont hear about them till later. One of the things factoring into Khrushchev's decision to eventually withdraw the cuban missiles was our withdrawing some missiles in turkey.

I would hope (and I will leave it at hope) that the state department managed to bargain something out of the russians over this.

Unfortunately, the way it's going, there might not be anything left of Europe to defend from the Russians. A stretch of Sharia Law from Britain to Indonesia might do more to contain Russia than any missile shield ever did.
