Older Shimano Spirex
Hey guys, we've been having some problems with my dad's shimano Spirex. I was using one day when all of a sudden, it got very hard to reel, and like stuck. When Iturn the reel it will back-reel, it works just fine, but turn that off, and it sticks again. We're gonna try to find out what's wrong, but I thought I'd see if anyone had this problem with other reels or anything and i anyone had any ideas.

Is the line wrapped around the shaft under the skirt of the spool?

Nope. First thing we checked. It gets hard to reel then all of a sudden goes back to normal, then gets stuck again. very confusing.
