Default Top water frog action (w/ video report)

Hit the local pond this past weekend to throw the topwater frogs. I ended up landing four solid bass. There's nothing like sticking these bass on topwater! Man does the heart get pumping. I was using a white scum frog bigfoot. I'm becoming a big fan of the scum frog bigfoot over a lot of the other frogs out there. I've bought a lot of the flashier looking frogs like the spro dean rojas and the optimum furbit. But the action on the legs of the scum frog bigfoot are just awesome. The legs move a lot of water which entices a lot of strikes. Here's the video of the trip.

You know I almost didn't even post this video because I'm huffing and puffing so much. I know it's been a while since the days of highschool football but man do I need to get back into the gym! Until you film yourself fishing you don't really know the noises you make and the things you say.

I love the Mojo line that St. Croix put out. Affordable and great quality and they take alot of the guesswork out of buying a rod. I'd recommend them to anyone.

A white scum frog bigfoot. I like this frog so much because of the action of the legs. They move a lot of water and just flutter over the surface. Very cool.

Nice fishing.
So tell the uninformed. It looks like he used the hat cam that others talked about here. So what is it besides a camcorder on your hat?
Can you buy them, or are they self made?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Thats pretty much it from what i've seen....just a very small camera mounted to the bill of a ballcap. You can get them from www.hatcams.com or you could probably rig up something simular yourself. I was looking at those tiny cameras and they seem really cool.....even got a HD version for not alot of money.....its always hard to tell from a youtube video, but the picture quality seems pretty nice.....I'd like to get my hands on one to play with for awhile.

Nice video by the way....I enjoyed it, even with all the huffin and puffin....lol

I gotcha. Yeah I totally forgot a bass actually ripped the legs off of the bigfoot when I set the hook so I had to switch it up. I through on a Spro Dean Rojas Bronzeye Poppin Frog Natural Green. That's what I got the last two on. Good observation bingham.

You can check the hatcam out at www.hatcams.com.

It's really unusual the legs get torn off so I wouldn't be concerned about that if you want to give the frog a try. I think it's the first time it's happened to me since I starting using the bigfoot last summer. I wouldn't let that stop you from buying it.

Sometimes I don’t read things right. But if what I think I read, is that the hat has the tripod mount in it, just screw you camcorder into it? If so, for $24.99, hell a new hat almost cost that.
My camcorder is the same size as the ones they have, so just the hat would work, if that is what I read?

Hell I’ll buy the hat in a heart beat if this is right!

This is right. Fits any camcorder. You're going to love it.
