Default Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze passed away today. Liked most of his movies.
Dirty Dancing was mostly filmed about 30 miles from here. It's a classic.

Forgot about those, they were good ones, too. I just watched Point Break the other day. The only one I can think of that wasn't worth a hoot was To Wong Foo where he was a cross dresser. I think I made it 10 minutes and got drunk instead. Way back in the day though.

I dont think I ever saw one of his movies, I sorta knew him as the cancer fighter more than the actor, and that kinda makes it even sadder to me.

I watched blackdog this weekend. My wife thinks dirty dancing is the greatest movie ever.

He was a good-enough-to-work actor who was a great dancer. He also didn't take himself so seriously, so he didn't seem to care much that his work was not really Oscar material. It seemed like he just had a good time making movies for the masses. While many considered Road House an abomination against all that is good and holy, I'm sure the Man Upstairs will probably let the guy in.

I'm sure every 40-year old woman in the country sniffled through at least one tear when they heard "Johnny Castle" was gone.

Little point of trivia...did you know the blonde who got naked in Road House was also in Point Break? She was the psycho girlfriend who came busting out of the bathroom and attacked the FBI agent. She is a Hollywood stuntwoman...go figure...from Playboy Playmate to tough chick.

My favorite for sure. Never really got into most of his movies, they just weren't my style, although I liked Point Break a lot.
Poor guy fought cancer for 20 months, I think it was?
Anyone remember when he and Chris Farley had a dance off to be the next Chippendale's dancer?

I remember the SNL Farley/Swayza skit. I think Ghost won some awards. JMartin, my wife was a Dirty Dancing fan too.
