Show pics!!!
Yep, the show is over and I've got pictures to share. First up is the new line of Shimano reels. Caution! Monkey Porn!
Now some R&R Custom Plastics (a local brand) Here's a few Pro's who happened to get in front of my cell phone when I was taking pics. Can anyone recognize the last one? Here's a hint....he hasn't been around lately. This one includes a local writer/guide..... And finally the mystery guest.....Ran into him Sat. evening after he presented. Asked him if he'd test out my Kaotik Punisher with my skirt and trailer for me. I really wanted to see how it ran in the tank. He agreed and we met Sun. before the show opened . He cast it a few times and tried working it back a few different ways and the bass began reacting to it when he'd drop it and run it just off the bottom. He ended up snagging one bass behind the gill plate but a second one turned on it and sucked it in. He asked if he could use it in his presentation later that day and of course I couldn't turn him down. Didn't see his presentation but heard he caught another bass on it before hanging it on one of the stumps and had to break it off....... Guess who had to wait until the tank was drained to get his bait back????? Still I sold a bunch of baits so it was worth it. Final pic of the weekend. Seems someone went striper fishing Friday and hooked into Hogzilla. There's a new record Convict in the state of VA and it weighed in at 74.5lbs and measured 58". |

I recognize Dudley and Crews but not the last guy. That's a huge striper!

I got to climb up barefooted since there was still a couple inches of water in the tank. Descend into the empty tank. Carefully walk across it to get to my bait. Since I was at the far end I climbed out and walked the edge all the way back.....very carefully!!!
I could see how some could have problems standing up there. |

Didn't get as many pics as I could have. Many new rods, reels, and baits. Here's a few to look out for.
The Sweet Beaver has a new cousin. RI has come up with a new tail. Probably should have picked up a pack but Dave's didn't have them in GP or Penetration (my two favorite colors). Tungsten Weights has a Flippin weight that comes much closer to Tru Tungstens Flippin weight as compared to Strike Kings Version. PowerTeam Lures had a few additions to their line up. They had an interesting new craw. The new line of Carbon Fiber Stradic reels......Amazing!!!! (and way out of my price range..) Plenty more....just didn't get out of the booth as much as I had wished. |
