a good fishing backpack

i really need a new backpack. i use a old lunchbox now

. does anyone know of a good backpack that comes with boxes? i only have about 30 bucks to spend, preferably less(need some money for lures etc.)

i use a military back pack that my dad gave me,it is big,and works really well. try going to a military surplus store a looking at backpacks,you should be able to get one for about $15,and you can go to walmart and get a 4 box plano tackle bag for $15,so thats about $30. thats just what i did.

Or just use an old retired school back pack and stuff it full of plano 3700's and soft plastics like me!

thats what did used an old school backpack and put plastic plano cases in there and it hold all my lures and etc (and i have alot) so it should work for you.

I use a tacklebox(es), and tackle bag(s), and unless you'll be hiking along way, I think that would be the way to go IMO. I would go to bass pro/cabelas/gander mountain, and see what is the best you could do with your money.

Browning makes a tackle box desinged for backpacking. If you're hiking to spots, I'd just put a shoulder strap on your tackle. BTW, if you're walking to ponds, you don't need a full tackle box. Just shove a few bags of plactics in your pocket, and carry one hard case of cranks, jigs etc.

Before I got my boat I use to use a military Tactical back-pack. It had 6 smaller pockets on the front. Then the large compartment. Inside the large compartment was 1 smaller area. It was a double strap and also for the long hikes it had a camel pack (water bladder for H2o). it met all my needs and held all my equipment. I bought mine for $45.00, but I do know they have some for cheaper prices. Let me know if you cant find one I'll what I can do for you.........

yah...those are all good ideas. if you plan on wading though, the old school backpack is the only way to go...just make sure to put your cell phone and wallet in some plastic bags though for the inevitable slips and falls in the creeks.

I’m curious how is the old school back pack better then the military tactical back-pack????

i dont know. my military backpack is water proof and is extremely heavy duty,plus it looks cool.
