Wow, you have great manners! And Grammar! Glad to see people have halped you alot. If you ask 10 people what the best bait is, you'll get 10 different answers, so there will be alot of diferent advice you'll get on here. My advice is a senko(dark colored), with a heavy bullet sinker(1/4-1/2 ounce), so you can cast far, and it wil stay on the bottom.

VA, Only time you should ever use weight with a senko, is carolina rigging, or pitching it into cover. Otherwise you lose pretty much all of the intended action of the bait. Just some food for thought. If your going to use that much weight put on a Ribbontail worm, where the action could benefit from the weight. Nick

As I previously said, I have benefited a lot from all of your insight. I just can't wait to go and put into action what I have learned. Sincerely, thank you very much.

Powerbass, there are sometimes, when fish will not bite a weightless senko, but will smash a t-rigged one. Its alll bout the different fall rates, actions, adn what the bass want.

True, but more times than not it is the weightless approach that works better

when i started fishing senkos and other plastics, i would just try to throw them out deep. cause i thought deeper water meant more fish and bigger.. but that was a mistake. i have had the most luck probably on a wacky rig, 4 inch watermellon, or black senko. just throwin it right to fallen trees in the water, or right to the weed edges.
