Default braid/mono/floro?

every body seems to be jumping on the braid bus.. yes braid has better feel than most lines. but here is what braid does not have. the ablity to be worked in rocky areas.. if i am dragging a jig and a carolina rig all day -which has been the major summer bite here- i have to retie the braid twice as often as i do the mono i use for c-rigging.. i use 30-40 pound braid and 12 pound ande mono.

of all of the jig bites i have gotten this past summer. i say i probly would have been able to feel the bite on mono..

i have been debating weather or not to use floro for some of my heavy weight t-rig pitching. if i do go with the floro it will likely be silver thread, fireline,or yozui..i have used all of this stuff in the past.. or just load the reel with some 20 pound ande and go to town..

now the question I want to hear the answer to is.
does floro-one of THOSE 3 company's- have more or less resistance to wear and tear in rocks than braid or mono??

I would reccomend gamma copolymer to ya, if your lookin for flouro, its a mix of flouro and mono. Seaguar makes decent flouro too

I boated an 8 pound chunk of limestone on Seguar Carbon Pro. No problems.

Only time I've used seaguar, is on my ultralight. Would you reccomend 14lb for spinnerbaits, reb?

Zook this is what we use in the salt down here in the Mosquito Lagoon (world famous) is to get your braid i.e. 10lb. and then take your 3ft. fluro carbon leader i.e. 15 lb. and tie a uni to uni knot and you still have your abrasion resistance.

Va, for spinnerbaits I'd go with mono. I only use fluoro for worms and jigs. The stretch of mono comes in handy when a bass absolutely mauls a spinnerbait.

I saw the rock, but no pictures of the mount. Have you gotten around to getting a masonry drill to screw that bad boy to a piece of driftwood??
