Default My New PB

Went fishing with ryan today at a private pond. I had never fished there before but I knew there were some nice bass in there. About 5 casts in I get a nice bass that weighed 1-13. I was like yes a new PB! Ryan pulls one in right after that. About an hour later I see the line running so I set the hook. I start fighting the fish and it doesnt feel very big. Just then it jumps and I about wet myself!LOL It comes to the bank, sees me and takes off again. I get him in and we weigh him. Its a new PB that weighs 2-7. That is the first time I have broke the 2 pound mark all year.

Here's the pics... What he failed to say that I beat him in the tournament... To add to the story, all of Tommy's fish were caught on a weightless stick bait, and my 4 fish were caught on a weightless t-rigged Strike King Shim-E-Stick, Mann's Baby 1- Elite Bluegill, 3/8 White Skirt Double Willow Booyah Spinnerbait, and a Rapala Skitterwalk in Bluegill.

All great fish, but man, look at the green on that one Ryan is holding (second to last pic). Maybe it's just the light, but that is purdy!

Good job but I feel bad for you, you need to come down south and you can cull 2lbers, come down in the spring and catch a new pb!

Yeah...try to remember, SBK, that we don't have 10lb bass hanging out in every mudpuddle up here North of the Ohio heh. A guy who catches 2 and 3 pounders up North is just as good of a fisherman as a guy who catches 7 and 8 pounders down South.

I'm sure you know that, but try to remember Cavs is really just a newcomer to the game. He only caught his first one this Spring.

Oh I know I lived in Maine when I was little, I was just saying, that some guy in California would call a 6lber a small 1,for me, and that i should come out there and catch a real big one.Not being negative

That's cool. Man, sometimes I get jealous seeing all of you southern guys having all of the froggin' fun with the lily pads and everything. We just don't have much of that up here.
