Rod Build 6-13-10 Ultralite 2
Another 5'6'' Ultra lite built for a friend for dock shooting....Got to try my first double chevron on the butt wrap..Man you talk about your eyes go crazy!! haha!...Tried do a simple fade effect with the orange,red-orange,and dark red thread...The pictures really dont do it justice..Plus the glare makes the epoxy look funny...I need to work on better indoor photos.
Anyway,Im very happy with the results...

The double chevron turned out great! Really solid work. Those colors pop on that dark blank. I really need to work on doing cross wraps. Nice job man! I'm sure your friend will be very happy.

Waffle, I am simply amazed at how good these rods are looking, given how long you have been at this!
Though I am now safely out of my rod buying mode, you are threatening to make me sell all of mine and get (or make...help me fight the urge, Lord) a bunch of customs.

Thanks guys for all the compliments.
Yea Nofear its been a aloooot of practice and redo's on figuring out the best methods for this..Alot of pretesting before I make it final...From preparing guide feet to spreading the epoxy with less bubbles and for a more even finish that doesnt have a ''wavy'' effect...It really shows the on this butt wrap!.Nice and even throughout..I still have a ton of things to work on,but I feel my work has definitely come along ways since I built the first one. I still hate wrapping drop-shot hook keepers......Those are a *****!..hahaha! But still ,thank you!
