Default Skunked and stumped!

Sunday morning was a beautiful summer morning with a full moon still high in the sky as we hit the water, so I really expected to have a geat day of bass fishin......but I never got a bite all day.

I tried everything I could think of.....I started off in the grass and lillypads throwin a buzzbait.....nothing. Moved to an area of standing timber on a shallow flat near some deeper water and nothing. I fished 2 ft deep water to 25ft deep water on main points and along the main creek channel....nothing. Grass, lillypads, timber and riprap....nothing. Plastics,crankbaits,spinnerbaits,jigs........nothi ng.

Its times like those that really show me how clueless I really am about this sport we love so much....lol

Hey King,

We have all been there. A day when there is no rhyme or reason to the fish. For many of us, those are the days that bring us back more than the easy days when we can't make a bad decision.

That sucks man, but at least you got to be out on a beautiful day doing what you love.

Better luck next time!

You was playin my song son - done that a few times...especially when I hit the pond at lunch time - sometimes not a single bite. Lil buggers all out there a laughin at me...I jus know it!

You just gotta take the good with the bad and find the good fishin spots. Sometimes when they're not biting, I like to scout around and look fer fish and/or spots fish may like (Points, coves, drop offs and such) Also checkin to see if fish are suspending at a particular level...

They probably fed all night during that full moon. Makes it tough fishing the next day by my experience.

I agree with geezer. Mornings after a full moon can be tough.
