Default confused on bps reels

i was at bps while on vacation, was looking at the orange carbonlite reel, i was confused cause i was then looking at what i thought was the JM carbonlite, but it was on sale for like 89 as a carbon black reel, I then go home and look at this years master catalogue, the orange carbonlite and the carbon black reel is not in it, are these out of production or what, i wanted an orange one to match my carrot stick for a carolina rod

Guess you waited to long, other companies make orange reels abu garcia,Pflueger, mostly in a low profile meaning gold/orange.I had a Pflueger on mine and it looked good, brakes or clutch pawl dont last on the cheaper pfluegers, but one gets what one pays for it lasted a year and a half.

Yeah black only now check ebay for used ones
Kind of like the Kistler argon 200+ rods that went for 80 bucks,if you didnt get one you aint going to,and used they bring that as most paid 200+.They actually sent fact reps out taking them out of stores and dumping in dumpsters, where do you think many of the ebay ones came from.My guess would be divers.

The orange carbonlite was replaced this year. Some stores still have some leftovers, but they are not in the catalogue anymore. IMO,the orange carbonlite was a much better reel than the new carbonlite, but the new one is lighter.
