Default Buffalo Run Trip Sunday

MBfishingking and I made a trip to Buffalo Run in SW Houston, Sunday. We started off the day about 7:00 and had a pretty productive day on the water. We had a few fish running the bait fish on the banks, but couldn't seal the deal with a top water. MB finally made a hook up on a 4" centipede TX rigged, of course, when in Rome...you know the story. We fished down the bank a while a both of us were putting a few fish in the boat here and there. I fishing a Buckeye shakey head tipped with a trick worm. We were running neck and neck for a while, but I gave up on the worm to try something else and I pretty much let MB hand me a TX sized whipping. But it was his hometown lake, so I let it slide gracefully. I did manage to catch my biggest fish, maybe 2# on this . MB had just dropped one in the water a little bigger than it. We also had a double hook up during the trip. Ole MB handled the 30 mph winds pretty well and I managed 1 last fish on the Rapala around noon or a little later and decided to pack it up for the day. But here are a few pictures from the trip. I hope to be able to post some more pictures for some future trips to Houston and hanging out with a new fishing buddy.

bubba, it was great meeting ya, had alot of fun fishing with ya. i might have caught the most, but you caught the biggest one of the trip. i should have tried harder to fish other baits, but as you saw everytime i did nothing, then back to the centipede and i would hook up. the wind there is like that most of the time and it was hard to keep the boat in line
for a person in the back. next time your in town we will go to CONROE where i know they have some lunkers, i should have my prop fixed by then. i better have have it fixed before. next time i go home to ms i may
just take a deture and stop by. lots of luck with your job. later mb

Hopefully on one of your future Houston trips you, Walker and myself can meet up somewhere and get a little fishing and BSing in. Looking forward to it.
