Default Otter Lake Part Deux

Got skunked this morning on the river, so I headed back to Otter around noon.
Have I told you guys lately, that Otter is one of my favorites?

Started out really slow, even though I was seeing plenty of Bass. Managed to get 1 borderline keeper (didn't bother with a pic) on a crawfish bait.

Headed to the opposite side of the lake, threw on a Firetiger Aruku Shad, and managed to land 4 more that were suspending on dropoffs near some reeds.

Only bothered weighing the one, and he was 5.0.
All in all, the season isn't starting off too bad!

Thanks guys! I'm definitely pretty happy with the way things are starting out! (Although I had a 5.5 in the books by this time last year )
Clear water as always around here. That lake is one of the first around here to get murky actually, due to the green bottom.

Can't wait for the spinnerbait bite to start!

Great job Mallen!! I fished Houghton today with my dad and slayed the pike! He did get a nice smallie and left me with the little large mouth.

And C-rig, bed fishing on these types of lakes is great! The down fall is it's really easy to spook them off the beds - long, long casts most of the time.

Excellent fish, Mike! If I get just ONE all year that tips the scales at 5.0+, I'll be ecstatic.
