Bassmaster Fed Nation
If you don't know the event is on Wheeler in Alabama this week. Once again my friend Tony is fishing this event. He won the PVA again this year and qualified for the event late in September. Weigh in is at 3pm CT so I'll be watching. He's first to weigh in today.
Yesterday he was tied for second in the Mid-Atlantic division and has some good competition from Svoboda. http://www.bassmaster.com/tournament...ip/leaderboard Don Barone wrote a piece about Tony and how he came to fish the PVA. http://www.bassmaster.com/blog/pick-3-day?page=4 |

Toney IS actually a man I greatly admire!
To me this sums it up! Excerpt from article Shot in the back for chump change, left for dead, and in fact, almost did die, but if there is a metaphor for America…it is Tony. Battered, beaten, but still gets up. Thanks Smitty! GREAT SHARE!

Spend a day fishing with him or any PVA member. You'll be amazed at what those guys went through and go through daily.
Leading the Mid-Atlantic at the moment. Leader still hasn't weighed in. 5 fish limit for 10-10 today. I'll call him later to see what his plans are for tomorrow. Hopefully he's on some good fish. |

Looks like Tony is still in 2nd in the Mid-Atlantic, but now trailing Copley (by 1lb 6oz) and Svoboda fell from 1st to 3rd, behind Tony by only 13oz for 2nd.

Caught another limit on day 3. His goal this year was to weigh a limit each day. Last year his goal was to weigh in a fish each day. But his 5 weren't enough to win his division and he ended up 3rd in Mid-Atlantic and 14th out of 56. I'll chat with him soon and find out how he caught his fish.....maybe Bama could use the info to catch a dink or two.

I must have posted the info before weigh in was finished. I couldn't get results on my phone so I asked someone to look up the results. Looks like he did alright. Jumped a bunch of spots over last year's finish. Still haven't spoken with him yet. We have a club meeting next week. Maybe he'll make it.
