Default Jointed Crankbaits

How does everyone feel about the jointed minnows and other simular baits ? Like the J9 from rapala, these baits have not been producing the way that say a bomber or simular crank has for me . Is there a diff retrive used with these ? I have had fish following them but have not gotten any hits . thanks in advance for any advice

We've caught a lot of rainbow trout trolling jointed 9 raps on the reservoirs. If you have fish following, try stopping or suddenly quickening the retrieve, then stop, pause twitch, etc. Just mix it up and sometimes that will produce well.

I've done VERY well with the Rapala jointed Shad Raps. Have caught everything from bass to walleyes. Even caught a huge bluegill on one once.
