Thanks. To be honest I am not sure because i did not have a scale :-( I had owned one previously but it was very old and kinda rusty (a hand me down from a friend). I do not want to estimate on the weight because it drives me crazy when someone posts a pic of a 4lbs bass and says its 8lbs (i know no one on this sight does that but on others... ahem ESPN...it seems to be the norm). I know that was hers because it is the biggest largie she has ever caught and she has only gone bass fishing with me. I know the PB was going to be a PB just by the way it hit. I put a cast inbetween a split trunk in an old lay down using a strike king zero worm in watermelon red flake and let it sink. I tried to hop it once and my rod bent and I immediately thought i was hung up....then...zzziinnnnngggg my line zips out from under the lay down and the fight was on :-) I have had other species of fish do that to me while saltwater fishing but not fresh so before i even had a look at the fish i knew it was going to be my PB largie :-)

btw...yes...i will be buying a new scale next week :-). To be honest weight never bothered me much (probably because I'm an intermediate fisherman at BEST but am getting better lol). I would rather catch 10-15 small bass throughout the day then catch one lunker in 6 hours of fishing.

Awesome pics, and don't take this the wrong way...meant with all due respect...but your wife is awesome. I didn't know they made women who would actually kiss a bass. Can I clone her?

His wife is his favorite fishing partner cause when she goes, he can at least say, "We caught some fish today" Right John?

Thanks for the compliments fellas! Much appreciated! I must say I am very lucky, although she doesnt smile as much when the credit card bill comes in and a good chunk was spent at Bass Pro HaHa. However she understands that fishing is a passion of mine and she supports it. These were taken at liberty reservoir mostly using wacky rigged senkos or strike king zeros. I've been finding they seem to prefer watermelon with red flake and really havent been fishing anything deeper than about 12 feet. The older the lay down the better too. (which pretty much always seems to be the case).

Thankfully, you've got her out there fishing with you. Helps her to understand BPS bills!
