Default This is Jersey?

Yep,it's Jersey, go figure...it's March 20th...Water temps at the lake I went to were 50-54 Degrees(2 weeks ago it was hard water)..... It was 76 degrees outside today.. I got 9 bass in 4-6 ft of water over weeds in under 2 hours and the first hour I was throwing traps, worms and senkos..zip. Put on a Mepp's silver in line spinner and the fish ate it up.. also got 3 large bluegill and a nice crappie.
I saw a lot of fish up shallow. Just throwing this out as something to consider for you yankees. All in all a good day..and I took down the Christmas lights finally.
I'm still waiting for more snow!?!?

Do they recommend inlines for pre-pre-spawn?..The bass seem to prefer the #2 Mepps silver blade. I catch more without the little white bucktail or feather on the hook. I was much warmer today and I'll be going out tomorrow, I'm playing hookey from work.

Water temp 58+.. Got 80-100 bass ALL on inline spinner. Fished from 9a.m. till 3p.m. And all the animals were having secks. Saw 2 big snapping turtles going at it, 2 swans (apparently the male tries to drown the female as it was underwater while they did the deed. Then I saw 2 osprey going at it in mid air...'scuse me, gotta go talk to the wife a minute

You know, tom, for the past several weeks an inline spinner has been rattling around in my head-I've been meaning to buy some. Seeing your post just confirms my hunch.

Everybody should have at least 1 #2 silver mepps in their tackle box. They don't have the stigma attatched to them that the had even just a few years ago. I resisted using them for many years, but dang do they work good.
