A nice thought!
Wouldn't it be cool if we could find a lake like NickaJack (Tennessee) or somewhere fairly central with a good rep for fishing for a 3-4 day BassFishin Forum get together and fun tourney? Not hotels or motels but cabins and campgrouds with a pavillion that we could cook out together and sit around fire pits every evening kicking around the day's fishing?

I'd be a little embarrassed to try and stack up to all you semi-pro's in the fishing dept I'm still pretty wet behind the ears..., but I can sit around a fire, eat, drink and swap stories with the best of 'em!!!!

That would be awesome!
LL, of course it would. Brushhog, you would definately learn a lot fishing with these guys though. I know I'd go just to learn more and try to get better. BB P.S. and of course those with boats would let us non boaters go wthi em!

Exactly right, just a big old fashioned campout and get together! The Bass club I belonged to in Texas, we did this twice a year and it was a lot of fun! Great way to get to know folks and very relaxing!

If only everyone from this site lived closer together... Maybe a few different get togethers in different regions. For example
SouthEast MidWest NorthEast West and on and on Personally I'm all for having one in NJ

LL, nice thought, but I think something a little more central here in the general east would probably be more conducive to the posters we have on this forum.

Me and the bandit would also go for this. Sounds like a great idea.

its a great way for guys to pick up on others techniques and methods, it also may teach some to slow down instead of "leaving fish to find fish"
mentality. |

I'll be in Gatlinburg, TN the first week of August with my boat! My family is on vacation there that week. I could probably get away for a day!

Let's do some searching and see what we can find up in Tennessee that would work for everyone. I would say the July August time frame would be hot but what the heck! It would be summer and we would stand a better chance for drawing more folks to such a get together!

That would be a great time. No school for the younger ones, and a good time to relax.
BTW, great idea! -Lunk-
