Default 60 fish evening

6 Packs of horny toads and my shoulder hurts. My thumb is rubbed raw but I am happy.

Seems like you guys had a really good day. Hurt shoulders and raw thumbs always means a good thing after a day of fishing.

What color were the horny toads, and how were you working them?, if you don't mind me asking.

Toads in white / bluegill / and pepper green fished in the mat edge two or three feet back at low tide. Every fish at low tide was under the matt edge waiting for the toad to hit the edge. Two inches from the edge let it sink and lift up quickly after a small period of time. Enough to let it disappear from sight. Repeat back to boat. At high tide they slammed it as far back in the grass as you could cast. They always move back with the tide. Two of six pounders from several nights before had frog feet sticking out of there gut..

Capt Mike,
What's the water look like on the river? Got a two day team out there this weekend. All I'm seeing as I cross the creeks that feed the river is high muddy water. But I see the water is in better condition than I expected in your picture. You sure you didn't pull a photo out of the archives?????

Default potomac

We're launching out of Occoquan. The powers that be don't like the way we've been treated at Leesylvania St. park recently so we try not to launch out of that park.
Couple of guys got on some fish Sunday or Monday. They found some cleaner water coming out of the small feeder streams and caught fish there. Of course they didn't say what creek the clearer water was in. I'm planning on fishing a couple spots in Occoquan and then running.....
How's the water up past the sand dune??? Or are you fishing main creek grass???? Or a combo of pads and grass like the beginning of the no-wake???
