Default Line for my CI4

As I posted in another thred I just recieved my CI4 2500. I am searching for a line to spool up with. I am going to use it for finesse baits. My head is spinning trying to find a fluoro line. I really don't want to use braid with a fluoro leader. Would a co poly line be a good option or could I use straight fluoro?

I use 8lb Yo-zuri co-polymer and absolutly love it. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. I highly recommend it.

I haven't had good experiences with YZH, even the Ultra Soft meant for spinning reels. The 8lb YZH Ultra Soft I spooled on last year was like a slinky after a couple weeks. The sensitivity was not that great either. I will say that the line is tough as nails. It's very abrasion resistant. It's also not a fluorocarbon.

Bob, there isn't another FC line I'd use on a spinning reel but Seaguar InvisX. It's got some stretch to it, but it's the limpest, most manageable FC line I've used. I'd go with 6-8lb test. With a bit of KVD L&L every month or so, it'll be fine. I've actually got one of my baitcasters spooled with 12lb, that's been on there two seasons now. It hasn't gotten any KVD L&L at all this year, and still has memory like a premium limp mono.

If you are not concerned with price, Sunline makes one of the best FC lines for spinning reels on the market. Look at Sunline Shooter, they also make some quality lines that are a little less expensive.

I used BPS XPS 8# this year with good results. A few twists , especially at first , but they got fewer and not as bad as time went on.
