Done better, done a whole lot worse!
3oz 13oz 4oz I took my second and third bass on buzzbaits today. The first one came on a Strike King buzzer with a tri-blade, and white skirt. It's the very same lure that jay let me use to catch my first buzzbait bass. The second fish was caught on a $1.00 "Wal-Mart Special", that I modified as per this YouTube video, and added a Redfish Magic swimbait to. I got that fish on the first cast. I got the last fish on a Blaze crankbait in chartreuse and blue. All three were dinks, but seeing as how I have struck out recently, I'll take what I can get. I am still surprised how violently they hit those buzzbaits. The 13 ounce fish had me convinced it was better than two pounds before I got a good look at it. All in all it was a pretty good day on the lake.

I'm glad to see the buzzbait is working for you. I'm going to have to give that a try as well.

Like the swim bait idea. Never thought of a redfish magic design on a buzzer before... i will say that i prefer the soft body from bass assassin over the redfish magic body. Did you have any trouble keeping the body on teh hook shank???

To be honest I just happened to have the redfish magic body in my box. Its a very bright chartreuse, so I thought it was worth a shot. It has no problem staying put on the hook. The material they use is so soft it's almost sticky. I really like the action of it too. I bought another $1.00 buzzer to try a Lit'l Fishie on too. Made the mod last night. I can't wait to try it out!

looks good... as long as something is being caught... and judging by how light they are, I suspect either there is lots of cover or water is always murky...
Going to be trying some similar baits this coming weekend at a lake where bass fishing is usually crap. |
