Default Lake Sonoma 4/30/06

I had an invite to go with Deacon to Lake Berryessa but had to do a few things at home. I did manage to get out on the water about 3:00pm. I had to high tail it down the creek arm where I had caught fish before when the water was murky, but nada I tossed a crankbait, dropshot, plastics etc but to no avail, until I went around a point to a place I really don't fish alot. By the time I got to the point it was around 5:30. I pitched a blue and purple jig with half a brush hog in the junebug pattern up to a nothing bank. I was working it back really slow and "THUNK " and I set the hook on
this 4 lb 14 oz largemouth and then not 10 min. later about 30ft down the bank I picked up this
3 lb 5 oz largemouth. I just wish I would have had more time because the ranger locks the gate at 7 pm. just when the bite is picking up anyway I had a great day. Also here is a picture of our dog Katie making sure I weigh the fish properly.

Excellant fish there bud. Always wanted to make a trip to one of the california lakes. Really dont no why they regulate those lakes like they do. Seems a bit to damn policed if ya ask me. Anyways keep up the good work and maybe we will see your pic holding up one of them california toads.
