Default Houston-Area Waters Warming Up

One nice thing about living in or around Houston, it's fishing season is 12 months long. Since the beginning of the year, bassintxlady and I have enjoyed some really nice fishing around the Houston area. This past weekend a front came thru Saturday morning, and we went out after it passed and caught some nice bass at a local pond not too far from our house. Sunday we went back to Huntsville State Park, and racked up some more nice toads.
I would say its safe to say, that between the two of us, so far this year, we have caught maybe 200 bass so far, but keep in mind we fish almost every weekend and then maybe 2 times a week after work. Heck, the number is probably higher than that, but who's counting.

I'll post some recent pics from Huntsville later today. Good fishing everyone !!!

OH, and I forgot to tell you all what I started the thread for, the average water temp around Houston now is 82 degrees. Sunday at Huntsville the average temp was 79, and out at fayetteville the average temp is over 82 recently.

I don't know what the surface temps are running on the main lake in Conroe but in the creek channels between 3-16 feet of water, surface temps have been averaging around 78F. The week preious they were up to 82F and after the rain last Saturday they were 75F mid morning.
