Wrong chip
Recently had a humminbird 595c get the lense cracked while beating the waves. Sent it back to Humminbird and they sent me a new one.
The problem is that the GPS chip that goes with it shows the entire south east vs. just areas in the NC region. Guess I'll just contact Humminbird and tell them to send my old chip back. Guess maybe I should have removed it before sending the depth finder in. If they can't send the old one back, I'm going to request a new chip that only shows our section of the country. The only problem is that all my GPS "spots" are lost. Looks like I may have to go back and relocate my areas.

you of ALL poeple should know that if it can be removed than remove it. when a unit goes in to the shop 99% of the time the first thing they do is yank the chip and throw it in the trash..then replace it with some off the shelf bs .. before shipping it back to you.. odds they still have the chip slim to none.. just like sending reels in first thing they do remove the line.. zooker

Posted up the zoom screen and BOOM there came the area that I was looking for. Sorry for posting such a stupid comment. I should have checked this item prior to righting it down on this board !
No need to worry though, I rested a while and things are going to be ok ! LOL, Flyrod.
