French fries
Since I have only been fishing for bass about 5 years I wanted to ask about french fries type lures. I used to fish for walleye and usually passed over bass topics but seem to remember there was some hoopla about these plastics. Would anyone like to comment if they were a good bait?

French Fries and Centepedes
Great baits! I used them today on Lake Allatoona on a the Carolina Rig! They are tailor made for C-rigging, but work well on Texas Rig and drop shot too. The size and shape offer a very subtle action that can be another version of finesse. They work through most of the seasons as well shallow or deep!

Man I love french fry worms, wacky rigged longitudinally at about 1/3 of the length and weighted on the "tail" end it makes a killer bait, jighead wacky rigged, split shot rigged, oh boy ! they ketch tons o´fish.

During the summer it is about the only bait I throw on a C-rig. Super bait!

You may also try a "ring worm" these baits have no flat side. Green pumpkin is what I prefer but any dark color seems to work for me.

Lake Fork Tackle Baby Ring Fry is the best (IMO) and the Zoom Double Ringer is another good one!

Yeah, a picture would be good.
Do you guys have a preference betweeen like Zoom Salty Centipedes, Double Ringer, Fish Doctors etc. Is one better than another? What is the main difference between them? Thanks, BB

Zoom Centepedes (without salt) are a major part of my arsenal, so are the Double Ringers. The Fish doctor never really caught on with me for some reason. The reason I don't necessarily buy the salted Centepedes is that the others sink fast enough without being too fast. Since I coat all of my soft plastics with attractant anyway there isn't much of a need.

Gene Larew makes a great french fry bait, but the Zoom centipede is easier to find and works well.I basially fish the cotton candy color only. P N J

Uh oh... This style, size and shape as that pictured is one of my staple baits to drop shot! I like a double cheese burger with my french fries.
