Potomac
Fantastic fishing on the river this weekend. C. Teams yesterday had 5 bags over 20lbs. 14th place weighed 18lbs.
Today would have been the same but the wind and rain made things a little tougher. Winds at 20+mph make it difficult to fish main river grassbeds especially on the VA side. Took 19+ to win LAPR with 18 to make the top 5. Grass was the key...main river grass beds early. We caught ours on plastics (creatures and tubes) on the main river and then on lizards in the creeks. Finished with 17.87lbs. Here's a photo of our two best fish today. The biggest just shy of 5. Last edited by 3dkicker; 06-03-07 at 07:20 PM. |

Hey, nice shirt. I'm not usually a Rebel fan (2nd generation Bulldog, actually) but I'll cheer for any Mississippi team, especially after what they did to the poor ol' Bearkats the other day.

Not a picture of me. My team partner was a little cranky after the day we had. Lost the trolling motor at 9:30 AM and fished the rest of the day without it. Rain was coming down sideways and winds were at 20mph+. Things got a little dicey at the end of the day getting the big motor going and the ride in was a little rough as we took one over the bow. Plus we lost a couple fish that would have put us in the top 3. It was a tough day fishing.
Can't complain they were nice fish! Last edited by 3dkicker; 06-04-07 at 10:19 PM. |

Federation, BFL and LAPR this weekend. FLW comes to town next Thursday to Sunday. If you're looking for a good limit of keepers just fish Smallwood and Leesylvania. Plenty of 3-5lb fish were released last weekend and many more will be this weekend.
FOM will be on the river on Sat the 16th too??? Man the river is getting crowded!!!! Last edited by 3dkicker; 06-06-07 at 04:20 PM. |
