Default Cabela's Customer Service for Rod Return

Just a quick post to say that Cabellas customer service pretty much rocks. Astonishingly, I broke my XML Series spinnerbait rod near the tip yesterday. Zero minutes wait to get a person, told me to pack it up and send it for a replacement or refund.

How old was it, Stew?

I should try that with my devastated XML rod.

From my experience with them their customer service is tops. I do not like returning things but I haven back a couple of broken Crucial rods and with no questions asked they let me pick out a new one or anything else that I wanted to take away that $150 from. I also had a marine radio from there die and had the same experience. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

I had broken a Cabela's fly rod on a fishing trip and on the way home had stopped into the outlet here in Maine to see if I could get a replacement. Not only did they replace my rod but they gave me an upgraded model since the one I had was discontinued...yes, they are really good when it comes to customer satisfaction

I have bought quite a bit from them this year. I returned a Tourney Trail casting rod and exchanged for a lightning Shock rod. They are really great. I much prefer buying from them over the next major online store. Even on lures they sell them with a 60 day fish them and if you don't like them, return. I wouldn't do that unless a lure was defective
the day I opened the package, but that's some customer service.

Without a doubt Cabela's has the best customer service in the business or any business for that matter.
A couple of years back I bought an 1860 Army Cap n Ball revolver from them and loved it so much I bought another to have a matching pair. Well I got the second one and after about 200 rounds through it the action on the gun failed. I then returned it and they send me another one. This one would only ignite the caps about 50% of them time. Again I returned it and they send me another one that had the same issue. I returned that and they hand picked a gun for me from the warehouse and pretested it an sent it to me. This one worked great. They did all of this without ever once hassling me or doubting me.

I just returned a Cabelas XML rod this weekend that the insert of one the eyelets fell out. These rods have a 25 year warranty. The clerk told me I needed my receipt, from 3 years ago? Yeah right. After telling her there was no way I could produce that she told me to go pick out a new one and she would exchange it. I have been impressed with Cabelas customer service.

Cabela's has always had outstanding customer service as far as I'm concerned, although I haven't had any experiences involving rods.

Over the course of my many years of fishing, I'd have bought much more from them had their selection been better; there've been too many items that they didn't carry that BPS did.

It's nice to read about good transactions with a company. Usually you can only find bad things about them. This will definately have me buying from them in the future.
