Default rut roe aww dam..

fired up the yammer this morning water temps were 47 air temp was 22..mmm brisk.. she was running fine but there was no water coming out.. hmmm ok..shut it off tilted the moter ALL the way down in the lake,i figured the warm lake water would melt the ice.. after 30 mintues of easing around with the troller -i did catch one dink- i fired the moter up and give it a rev. nope. no water came out aww dammit.......

i loaded the boat back on the trailer with the troller.-oh joy- and headed home.. i am waiting for the hot water pressure washer to come up to full temp before i hook up the muffs and shoot 300 degree water up into the moter..

i am not too sure where the ice blockage is but my guess would be in the peep hole area..since if it was in the pump area it would have melted out with the moter in 47 degree water..

yes i made sure it was dry last time i used it.tilted all the way down all last week..

I always wondered about that happening since a lot of times I will run the big motor and then fish for a few hours before firing it up again. Do you have a water pressure gauge? I have run mine before when I knew the pee hole was clogged a bit and there was hardly any water coming out as long as I had good pressure on the gauge. Probably not the smartest thing to do though.

Sounds painful J/k Glad it wasnt worse. I had to dig out a mud dobber (sp?) out of my old boats motor one time, That was fun.

The best part of Skeeter's story is that no one was hurt.

The second best part of the story is that after the boat flipped, was towed to shore, and then uprighted, Skeeter made it in time for weigh in. He reached into his live well and still had fish to bring to the scale.

I hang a paper clip on the shift cable. I fish some cold water too. If it doesn't pee I shut down and wait a bit restart and check again for pee.

If still no pee I remove the clip and heat with a lighter and jam it up the pee hole.

Water should come out then.

I encountered this very same problem, the clog was located right in the pee hole. The next time this happens, that will be the first place I look.

My Original thought was that you were referring to the Amazon Clapper, which have been caught by many, who were fishing for the wild Pink Snapper.
