Default Bass Boat or Flats Boat?

If you had the choice, would you rather have a bass boat or a flats boat and why?

I have seen before where a flat boat that can get back further in shallow waters will do better than a heavy V bottom or bass boat, if the fish are in shallows that is lol...like a spring pattern where you're going up a creek..
