Default New stuff

I just picked up some new BPS jigheads in 1/8 oz. and 1/4 oz. Normally, jigheads don't excite me much but these jigheads seem perfect for shaky head worming. They are called "BPS Finesse Football Jigheads" and come with red Katsu' hooks. They have a spring in the head also. This is the first jighead that I purchased that has a spring in the head. I was skeptical at first, but I put a Zoom trick worm on the spring and it held tight. The true test will be how it works on the water. Gotta wait for some warmer weather. I will be sure to post once I give em' a try.

Interesting, I was just talking about "fish glue" to my partner, but that sounds like a neat jig head, I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up.

Betursweetbass,
I was really impressed with how well the worm "stuck" to the jig. What seemed to work best was cutting the first 1/2" off the zoom trick worm so the front was flat. After that, I screwed the worm into the spring. It was as tight as . . . well I just stop there

I can't wait to give this jighead a try. Sometimes, I just get a good feeling about a particular lure/presentation and this is one of them.

JB, if you happen to read this thread, could you stick a picture of this new jighead up. I don't have any computer smarts but would like to show others what this jighead looks like. You seem to have a knack for getting the actual pictures up on the site.

Kewl pic

I remember when the football jig craze came on the scene many years ago, the idea is to get the bait(plastic or pork) up off the bottom , to make it easier for the bass to suck it in..I am not sure if it was invented for smallies or largemouth, all I know is way back then the "bait monkey" made me travel an hour of so till I found some, which I promptly lost in the ohio river the next tournie lol

Heres some Owner made football head jigs that I 've tried and liked
