Default Ball State DE

I was reading up on the AP top 25 and came across this. Ball State has a 32 year old DE on their team. He worked after High School, then joined the Marines.

Thanks cass for sharing this. My son is a junior at Ball State and I can you that Brandon Crawford has created quite a stir on campus and for BSU fans. He has a wonderful story to tell and has been a great mentor for the younger guys on the team. They have a lot of respect for him, and I've been told Brandons character and detemination has rubbed off onto his team mates. This year Ball State is ranked in the top 25 for he first time in their history and are 7-0. No doubt Brandon deserves a lot of credit for this. I might add a sad note here too. Just want to mention that Ball States leading reciever, Dante Love suffered a severe spinal injury while playing against Indiana. He is a senior playing his final year. He will never be able to play football again. Few have heard of him nationally which is too bad because he was leading the nation in receiving yardage and easily headed to a career in the NFL. Thankfully, he is recovering well enough to lead a normal life. He will be missed by his team mates and fans.

First post I've read today, on any site, and it's the best way I could have started the day.
Guys like him and the young ex-Army type who survived the attack on the Pentagon on 911 then later enrolled and played at Texas A&M through last year exemplify America's best. His name escapes me at the moment (MORE KAWFEEEEE!) but Reb can fill in that blank.
I guess I'm a tad biased in favor of men like these two but I come by it honestly.
I'll admit I (and many others,) consider the annual Army/Navy tilt to be THE game each season...America's very best giving their all, then joining hands after the game to sing the winning academy's Alma Mater.

Lancer6...Out.

I watch it evrey year....me and my dad, ex-navy....and its not a rivalry because of hate, but because of repect, so its not really a rivalry, but its a great game that i always treasure....

And thats a sad story, but it is true of at least he got an education...sure he would of probably loved to play ball for a living...wouldn't everyone here like to fish for a liveing...but my prayers are out there for him..
