Default Piggy2's been holdin' out on us.

Yep, it's true he's been keeping quiet that he's living in the land of cheap gasoline (amazing I call it cheap). I was down on Smith Mt. Lake this weekend for Jr State Champs and found gas at $3.36 per gallon in Lynchburg. I left home and it was $3.59 and I thought that was cheap. I'm sure a little further north of me it's in the $3.70 range. He's been holding out on us !!!

You should be getting around California in rollerskates anyway. At least that is what the movies portray as the prefered mode of transportation.

The movies lied about everything, except the women.....
I have made jokes in other forums about my bride, but I am happy to say that I married a California woman who grew up in view of the hollywood sign.

$3.59 (this past Friday) at the Racetrack on 119 and 65 south of Birmingham. It has been steadily dropping over the past few weeks.

I don't know about that. There was a major spike in gas prices back a while back (in the 60's I believe) where gas reach around $5 per gallon. It dropped all the way down to $1/gallon because the US people demanded smaller more fuel efficient cars and the car manufactorers started to produce such cars. This was the start of cars like the Pinto, Yugo, etc. The US people lately have demanded gas guzzling SUV's which has helped cause the steady rise in gas prices. I imagine that if the public demands to see more hybrids or total electric cars, we could see gas prices dip below $2 a gallon. Although, I think that is about 5 to 10 years away.

thats T. Boone Pickens. and he does have a good idea. when a member of the media accused him of just trying to profit, he simply said "I'm in my seventies, and have plenty of money. I don't need any more."

I'd expect that out of California, but that high in MI?? We live 3 miles form the MI line and have seen gas 3.59-3.75 throughout the past week. E-85 is only 3.25 (hah, only....)

Sad, but most likely very true.

This is why we haven't been driving the Camaro a lot (running high octance at almost to over $4.00 a gallon.) Although I believe the Sunoco near MIS that sold 110 octance closed.
