July 20th Report Part 2
Got to put a face to a screen name tonight, I always like when that happens. We started out in the pad at a high tide and did get a couple of frog and toad blow ups but, no hook ups. The next couple hours were pretty slow. (no fish in the boat...) Shawn finally took the skunk off the boat and now we could get down to business. The camera came out and we got to actually keep using it for the rest of the night, right up until the lights went out. First full time popper bite for my boat in quite a while. I liked it. Pleasure fishing with these two guys.
Lots of fun. Capt Dave

That first one should be a plastic mount by now, very unforgetable moment I bet.
Had one in canada so small hook barb barely fit in mouth and couldnt get it out,not stuck mind you just so large with the point wouldnt go out easily.Once it gets some size on with that attitude will be back I bet.Do I detect some milfoil out from that stick grass? |

Wow! That first bass looks HUGE!!! Did you have him hold that out in front a little???
As lilmule says, that one should be mounted ... with hooks on the tail and an eye to tie to in the front. Nice evening of fishing, it appears. |
