The estimated cost for testing a “lot” of fish (i.e. 60 fish) for the pathogens that are required to be tested ranges from approximately $ 500 to $ 1,000.
What bait shop can absorb the cost of $500.00-$1,000.00 per batch of bait sent to be tested , which is required before being sold by the bait shop ?We cannot get them tested here in NY state, they have to be sent out of state to be tested and certified , the bait shops have to fill paperwork out for the persons who buy the bait, you can be fined if posessing bait without the proper certified bill of sale. Artificial baits look better all of the time. P N J |
