heres a reveiw on it
tackletour.com/reviewshimanocitica200d.html
it looks pretty cool. i held the reel on a bass pro shops extreme baitcast rod and it felt pretty good. it was just a bit on the heavy side. if i were you,i would get the rod that you are going to be using with the reel and see if you can go to that fellows house or something and mount the reel on the rod and test it out. i might buy itsometime, but i like the bass pro shops extreme baitcaster alot.

The new Citica is a stellar reel. I am planning on outfitting all my rods with them. They are extremely smooth and durable. You should check it out to make sure that you like it beforehand, yet me, I am sold.

A friend that we fish with has one, and my fiance's dad is selling all his reels to get some of them. He fell in love with it the first time he cast it.

That feller of yours must be messed up or messed up his reel.

The new citica is vastly superior to the old curado in just about everyway. Check out its review. HEGearing = power, 1/4 turn sideplate that stays attached and a super low reel foot are just three traits it has that makes it smoke the green curado.

As a matter of fact, the only thing the green one has over the new citica is that it weighs less.

I was about to buy a Citica until a local shop dropped the new curados to $179. I coughed up the extra dough for it.

It has taken the old curado's price point. If you think about it, it is cheaper than the older BSF curado which used to be $149!

Hope you get one. I know you won't regret it.

NOT MY FELLER-thats how rumors get started.
I decided against it and Im probably going to go for a Viento after the first of the year. It just don't feel like an old greenie.

Whoops! After reading that a second time it sounded odd indeed!

I didn't go for it for the reason I mentioned earlier, but I am tempted myself on getting a viento. I wonder why Daiwa chose spanish names:

Viento - Wind
Fuego - Fire
Sol - Sun

Let's place bets that the next reel they create will be the Tierra - Earth.

Scratch that! I was at TT and saw that Daiwz does have a reel called a tierra. It's a spinning reel though.

Cool island. Didint want to offend anyone-I know how tender peoples toes are on here. Youd think a bunch of fishermen could take some ribbing but sometimes I wish I could send some of them a box of kleenex. I just dont like the undersling of the crankside. Cant palm it at all. Now comes the hard part: brand loyalty or buy what Im looking for. I do not like anything new that shimano makes. I think Im gonna spend the $70 and overhaul the old 200b.
What about the "Grande Murano" or something cool. The steez is supposed to mean "style with ease"-I refuse to buy.
