Wow Kevin, just an excellent instructional video. It looks so easy when a real Pro ties one up.
I must confess that I've had the same 4 hair jigs for a few years now in my jig box, but rarely have they seen the light of day. While I know that they're deadly in cold water conditions with Smallies, I find myself Pitching a finesse or regular 4 inch tube or a 1/8 oz jig instead.

Hey Joel... thanks for the kind words. One thing I want to try to get across to everyone with upcoming content is how effective hair jigs are year round. They are one of the most under-rated baits that catch fish in all waters. One of the reasons they are so overlooked is because good hair jigs just aren't made for market that much. Reason being, few serious hair jig bass anglers will ever buy a hair jig. The serious guys are making their own! Hence this video.

Kevin, I know several top Tx guys that all fish hair jigs for early spring Smallies and kill 'em, then never touch them for the rest of the year until late fall, early winter. I never gave it a 2nd thought about trying a hair jig other then during those times. And as for custom jigs, just about all of them are made by Jason of Hookerz in Conn.
