Now is it 20 ea for largies and smallies or does it include both,as will just put in for largies otherwise.
So far no lunkers but no blanks either.

Thoughts...
Big fish LM or SM based on the StATE RECORD OF EACH SPECIES.

ex;
SM with smaller total weight but closer % to state record would actually beat a larger but farther from record LM.

Now there's ONE prize category and larger total pot.
As far as to prize...no matter if someone doesn't want pole...rod builder won't even start a pole till contest end. So if someone wants cash, so be it.

Joe that's an idea worth noodling and since SM records are lighter anyway it'd prob be an equalizer and fatten the pot

Wish this thing was already going so I could have entered my big fish from a couple weeks ago. A 68% would have been a great way to start this thing off!

Yes it would have! Lets remember in fairness, northern anglers have hard water to deal with 4-5 months out of the year. Lets keep the dates approx to when most anglers can actually get on the water.

Uh I wouldnt make a good judge im biased, one thing however all T orgs use a golden rule to measure with not just any.
As for the rod want a two handed seeker rod ,roberts spiral wrap all on an orvis one ounce 8 ft blank.Might as well dream big.
While northern fishermen wont have open water as soon if one waits till theirs is open spawn is already over in southern regions, and thus limits their possibilities.Ky lake is open water year round and its biggest bass are caught normally prespawn in late feb.
Just something to consider is all.

Small idea.

If possible, get 3 judges that are not in the contest.
Plenty of honest folks around here.

I'll do it KD, I'll be a judge. I have some questions I will post later this afternoon or this evening. If anyone has any issue with my say being final, please speak up now.

Official Rules

1 WINNING FISH DETERMINED BY % OF STATE RECORD

2 ONLY FISH PICTURES POSTED WITHIN A WEEK IN THIS THREAD CLEARLY SHOWING SCALE READING
QUALIFY

3 LARGEMOUTH AND SMALLMOUTH BOTH QUALIFY

4 CONTEST RUNS FROM 3/1/13 UNTIL 12/31/13

5 ALL ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE 3/1

6 WE MUST HAVE 20 PAID ENTRIES BY 3/1 OR WE SCRUB

Did I miss anything important?

Thanks for the help Jrob !!!!

ps There's still plenty of time to figure out payouts based on total entries etc....we'll firm all that up last week of Feb.

pss I know all this goes without saying but of course the use of snatch hooks/explosives/nets/seines/chemicals/ is prohibited but......for this contest only we will allow Helicoptor Lures.

I'm not sure I understand the reason for rule number 2.
Maybe someone wants to 'weed lay' as we say up north.
Meaning, SURPRISE, I beat you and all your trash talk!

More seriously, maybe someones traveling or working or computer goes down or...whatever. making posting pic within a week of catching may be a challenge.
Plus if someone doesn't post with in a week, the fish is still caught within the contest period.

I think pics with date on is better thought.

PM me your address Ken....monies a burning a hole in my trousers!

Now as far as 'judges'.

I would much prefer Jrob to join the contest but if he's not going to play,
Judge Jrob it is.
Then, my votes go to,
Judge Woody,
then,
Judge Stick.

These three are all straight shooters and 'I' feel are good candidates BUT I'd rather ALL be in the contest.
Ken whatever you decide....is GREAT with me!

Lastly, re-read my post on the money....WHY WOULDN"T EVERYONE want in?
You know, even if you only fish ten times this year, 2 bucks an outing.
You know if you DON'T enter....it almost GUARANTEEs
your catching that ONE in a LIFETIME BASS.

Good luck to all contestants and may everyone catch THAT big one this year!

If you are so "challenged" that you can't post a fish within a w e e k then it ceases to be a challenge and becomes a problem

I am in with two caveats. I will only post LGMouth pic's I catch but not my clients. And I refuse accept any award. Give it to the next guy.

I will check if Dave is in as well.

Now where do I send a check?

I didn't post anything last year, due to the 50% mark being busted. I never manage over anything over 6.5-7. But I am in like Flynn as usual and always willing to donate to a just cause.
