Default Houston Fishing

Hey fellas. I am going to be going to some schools for work 3/31-4/9 in Houston, TX. Can anyone tell me about anything about the public waters around the place? Or give me a lead to some places I might want to try with in an hour of the city. I plan on fishing after the schools and some on the weekend I am there. Thanks for any help.
