Picture Day
Smacked 'em today boys!
Got to the dock at 5:51 AM and there was a huge blanket of fog covering the whole lake. Broke out the frog, a Spro Bronzeye; fifth cast it produces the days first 14" keeper...  Fog starts to burn off as the suns picks up and we keep humpin' it along the outer weed edge. Spinnerbait doesn't seem to wack 'em so I switch to the Jointed Shad Rap in "Shad". After a long while of pickin' weeds of the trebles, I finally hook one after ripping it out of the weed patch - pike! She takes about three head shakes and says good-bye. Oh, well... Couple cast later I land the 7" dink off the same crank... Zook, I really need to come down there and get a few crankin' tips fom you...  Start to work the docks for about an hour to no avail. Finally see some 17-18" cruisin' in about 8-9', drop the T-Rig to 'em; they don't want a darn thing to do with that ole worm. I did get a nice picture of this spider web...  Finally catch a few flippin' the T-Rig around the posts, no size to 'em. Start to work a point and get a good 16" wayyyy out there; about 15' down as well...   Cut across the channel and start to work the docks again. What do you know? Another cruiser in the 8-9' range! Drop the T-Rigged Zoom, "Watermelon Red", to him and "sho nuff" she clamps down on it. First sight fish off the day. Sweet! Another 16"...  Snapped this wicked picture only seconds after landing the sight fish...  Mosey up to this nice lookin' hole...  First pitch to that hole... BAM! Fight her for a good two seconds and she wraps me in the winch cable. Pitch up to the dock again, line starts to swim toward me, set the hook... SHE'S ON! Final fish of the day, also 16". To bad it wasn't braggin' time for that tourney! Oh, well...  Good day on the lake. Headin' out to the pond tomorrow morning for my seventh straight day fishing. Life is good...

well buzzie, we didn't get much today... except wet...
 I did get a few fish to swirl at my horny toad, and got a couple bites and one that came off while flippin' a rage tail craw. Buzzie, maybe next time we meet up, we'll do better, huh. BB
