HB 571 HD DI Portable
Just wondering if anyone has actually used or have one? My ole pond buddy has been using an old portable Bird for probably 15 years and asked me to snipe him a new one off the internet. I like everything I am seeing and fairly good on cost. He said he wanted to stay sub 3 bills.

Fishing buddys from 119 up or Humminbird PiranhaMax to 180 bucks basic entry level units that are portable, stay clear of advanced fishing technology meaning rf pucks one tosses on a fishing pole at rated 100 hrs use and almost useless so why pay for them, lowrance 129 all prices for new may even find cheaper.
Also stay clear of closeout models, while they do and will have parts for some time and will repair them for the charges one has to pay could buy another when you include shipping,if after the so many day warranty. A great many are just models that are normal in the lineup just with a battery pack or case.Fishing buddys are not quite the small pkg as lke a trolling motor shaft and all. |

I have the older version on my small boat HB 570, it was just the dual beam, did not have the DI or HD. It has worked flawless for 3 or 4 years now. Been wanting to upgrade it to a DI the 571 looks like what I am after.
