Want a space heater.
For my garage, but also to use in the house. I've been looking at electric space heaters. I want a cool to the touch model with the tip over auto shut off. My garage is 480 square feet. In the winter, it can get down to below freezing in there. Is there an electric space heater you know of that fits the bill?

Ceramic space heaters will generate the heat, safely and sufficiently.
They are inexpensive and very good. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lasko-pr...111&ksdevice=c |

Are the garage walls and ceiling insulated? If not you will waste a tremendous amount of electricity trying to heat it. I built a double garage years ago and put 3.5" insulation in walls and 6" in the ceiling and dry walled the whole thing which kept it considerably warmer than the outside temps and was easy to heat if I wanted to work in the garage. Having a good seal on the door helps also. I cheated and installed baseboard electric heat in there, rarely used it but I had an inheritance to squander. But my ex-wife loves it.

Or, just pack up and move to Florida. I rarely have any problems heating the garage.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm not sure if the walls are insulated or not. It's a finished garage so I would have to get behind the drywall to see.
