I love this show. My question is how many of you think you handle that job. 35 yrs ago I probably would have tried, but I know now I couldn't do it.
How many of you would like to try it?

When I was a young buck I woulda tried it, but not now. Especially after seeing what they really go through. No thankyou! My wifes cousin did that for quite some time. Started right out of high school.

Physically, I could have done it right out of high school. I don't know if the money would have been worth it though. I know I couldn't do it now.

When I was young, and could handle the physical part, I wouldn't have tolerated the mental torture. Now that the mental part wouldn't bother me, I couldn't hack the physical work. Classic growing older story.

Physical aspect, probably just out of school it would not have been an issue. Mentally, never would have worked. My temper, then, would have never tolerated any crap like what goes on aboard ship. Some of that crap is certainly for the camera, but like most "reality TV" - it isn't reality at all. If it was - most crews would return to port minus a member or two.
