Score any new fishing stuff for Christmas?
I was pretty fortunate this year and was able to do a little shopping, my monkey is very pleased. I got a bunch of new crankbaits and some cool swimbaits.
Some of the stuff I got was from the TW 25 days of Christmas sale and some of it was just stuff I wanted. The things I'm most excited to try out are the Huddleston 68's, the X-80 Trick Darters and the Ima Pinjacks. I just happened to get the email alert that the Hudds were available right after I got my Christmas bonus, it was a no brainer. I'm really impressed by the Savage Gear Bone Cranks, they look like a top notch bait with good components and were great at buy one get one free. The Spro Fat Papa 55's look great also. I bought the Punisher hair jigs, in part, to have a model to go off of so I can tie my own. They look great though and are really inexpensive. I'm also really impressed by the Mattlures baits. The plastic is unbelievably soft and should have a great action in the water. I've used a few Mattlures baits before but not the minnows or the trout baits. Add my Secret Santa gifts to this list and I had an awesome Christmas! I can't wait to hit the water with my new baits. I see a preliminary trip to the swimming pool in my near future! So if you got some cool fishing stuff for Christmas, let's see it.

I haven't got all mine yet, picture will tell why. The cranks are from my SS. The Pflueger reel, I got off of ebay for $25 and no shipping. (new still in the box) I've never used IMA cranks, I can't wait.

Ordered some stuff from Tackle Warehouse yesterday. Okuma Inspira Hybrid, some line, and shaky worms.
I'll throw some pics up here when the stuff arrives!

I got the Okuma Inspira and some other stuff from TW myself. I also picked up a 5 weight fly rod and reel for when I want to make fishing really tough!

I got a couple packs of Huddlebugs from my fishing buddy, that's all the fishing stuff I got for Christmas minus some BPS gift cards. I did buy myself a Mattlures hardbass, trout, and a few packs of minnows during his Christmas sale, pretty excited to get my hands on the bass and toss it around a bit.

I got a BPS gift card and that is it.
The rest was just stuff. First year I did not ask for fishing stuff. Wait I just remembered I did get a battery isolater so I can build a guest power network on my boat. Yea I did ask for fishing stuff. Capt Mike

Nice haul Joe!....I like those Santone Jigs (they make nice swimjigs and spinnerbaits as well!) ...I got a BPS card and plan on getting some of those Punisher hair jigs as well for float-n-fly.
I had a nice score....Revo STX , misc tackle , battery charger , and my sister and Dad had me some long sleeve fishing shirts made with my logo/name on them.....That was probably my favorite........Ok I lied, the STX was

I'm at a point now my family wouldn't have a clue as to what to buy me. Even if I did give them the page of the catalog and circle the item.......so I don't get anything
So I hold off the monkey and wait for the show season to begin. First flea market will be here soon and I can't wait for the Rat Killer deals!!! Last edited by 3dkicker; 12-28-12 at 05:58 PM. |

Cabela's Guidewear is the best, but the insulated stuff is too warm for me. I like the uninsulated - it's good down to 40 degrees or so, with a sweatshirt or fleece under it. But it will keep you dry, fishing the entire day in a steady rain. |

I don't have the Fat Papa 70 but the 55's look sweet. I think Russ hit a homerun with these baits. Spro makes great baits, they are one of my favorite companies.

The kids gave me a new fishing knife from Cutco thats pretty cool....extendable blade, and the sheath has a built in line cutter and wetstone/hook sharpener, plus it doubles as a fish grabber.
