Who wants some slop????
Put my boat in this spot yesterday. Not much luck, weather was bad and it was not a good time, but wanted to take advantage of being rained out of work.
Caught a small bass on a Bobby's Perfect Frog and a nice pike on a Dixie Dancer spinnerbait. Bugger bent my bait AND the swivel! Had 3 decent bass come off on their final leap near the boat. Guess that's what I get for openin the hooks up to get a better hookset! Have big hopes for this lake! Here's some pics.

Very purdy...I wish we had lakes like that in Southern Indiana...mostly we have submerged vegetation here.

WOWOOWOW!! That look great mallen! I'm amazed that you're not tarring them up on a frog!! When it gets sunny fish around the pads with flowers, bugs will be attracted, and that will attract frogs, and blue gill, natrally the bass are gonna come to all that!

Yeah, it was wrong time of day and overcast, rain threatening all day. The bit was pretty slow.

And Texas rigged 10" Ribbon tail worms like the Gambler Blueberry Muffin and Yum Green Pumpkin Purple flake worms! fish them on 3/16 or 1/4 oz wieghts 3/0 or 4/0 hooks and hang on! (part of my Guntersville arsenal this summer, works great around the pads!!).

Found a new spot today as well, although it was without a pole! Always wanted to try Elk Lake, due to the 100s of stumps you can see from the road. Did a job in Elk Lake today and we checked it out at lunch. Quite a nice selection of lily pads in among those stumps! Turns out, there are some largemouth in there but smallmouth and musky are the kings. An hour away but I'll be hitting it Saturday or Sunday
