Going to the Classic
Anybody making plans to go to the Big Greasy New Orleans for the Bassmaster Classic in Feb? I might have to come down with hong kung fu fever and come home a week early to catch it. I wish I could be there to see it. It was a blast meeting with MSBoy & Bama last year. This year I was planning on attending solo (I know it is selfish, but the family just doesn't understand) so I could actually look and enjoy some stuff, but work calls and will keep me away. So who is going this year?

I hate to say it, Bubba, but I mentioned it to Bama this weekend. I think we may decide to hit it on Saturday, maybe. Not definite yet, but very likely.
I'll send you some pictures....how's that?

Maybe Lisa and Louann can go to the Quarter while you and I go rub elbows with some of the Elites. Louann puts up with it for a while, but then she's tired of it and ready to go.

i asked lisa bout it and she said "we'll see." which isn't too promising right now. maybe after she has gotten a little more cabin fever she will go for it.

If you guys get down there you better take tons of pics and post them here! One of these days I'll get to a classic. But not this year. THIS year I'm trying to get to Bamas get together.

Either of you guys still going? I don't care too much about watching other guys fish when I could be out there myself but I might run down there to check out that Expo. Several guys I know from Michigan are heading down because a local guy is fishing in it.

No, I've got a family thing this weekend, and Bama's not gonna make it, either. The Expo is something else, man...anything and everything you can imagine is there. The bait monkey is there, and he's been doing a lot of weight lifting to prepare for it.

I just did a google map from the launch area and looked around bayou. Lots of places to fish and many many canals to run..
I found a lake off one the canals hidden behind a housing complex. Looks good and has no name. I could see with the warming trend that the frog bite might be very good. Capt Mike

I am sort of glad I am at work. I would be spending a fortune on gas right now, among other things. And sav for all the pot knots Flea would be putting on my head for sneaking off.
