Strike King Shadalicious Test Run
Howdy all.......
I picked up a bag of 4.5" Shadalicious a few weeks ago and after doing some research I bought Gamakatsu 5/0 3/16 oz weighted spring lock hooks which I received yesterday. I've never tried swimbaits before and was dying to try it out to see if the hook size/weight was proper and how it runs with my rigging. The only open season right now is pan fish and perch and with my luck officer friendly would show up as soon as I made my first cast. Fortunately my father in-law has a 24' diameter above ground pool. I just got back from trying it out and the Shadalicious ran so good that I almost jumped in after it. I read how swimbaits need to be rigged perfectly for them to run true so wanted a practice run before the season opens. Rigging was easier than I thought. Can't wait to try it out for real. |

Sounds good man. I picked up a pack from TW when they had them onsale for like 3.59 or whatever. Except, by the time I ordered them, they were out a lot a of colors and sizes. I ended up going with 6" Sexy Shad ones.
